Public Engineering Day

Organizer: Engineers Nova Scotia

Engineers Nova Scotia is looking forward to bringing back Public Engineering Day for another year at the Halifax Central Public Library! This event is open to the public as an opportunity to cultivate curiosity in STEM, and more specifically, explore the world of engineering.

There will be displays and booths from industry experts, including Clean Foundation, community groups, including Supernova and Techsploration, and university groups, including Dalhousie and Imhotep’s Legacy Academy.

This years’ hands-on design competition aimed at youth 11-14 is a new one— “The Tallest Paper Tower Challenge”—where participants will be asked to get into teams of four to build a paper tower that can hold a can of food at the top. All participants will be entered into a raffle to win a summer camp at Supernova!

No registration is required for Public Engineering Day. Feel free to drop in anytime between 10:00am-2:00pm AST.
