GROW STEM Engineering Conference 2022

Organizer: GROW STEM (Girls Rising to Opportunities Within STEM)

GROW STEM's Engineering Conference on Saturday March 19th will educate girls and non-binary identifying students (grades 9-12) about engineering as a career and provide an interactive, inclusive virtual opportunity to help them choose and explore a post secondary area of study/career. Overall, our group is committed to encouraging and empowering girls and non-binary high school students to pursue STEM through conferences that explore and teach about various different STEM related fields; this time, it's all about Engineering! This exciting event will be over zoom and will start at 1:30pm and end at 6:00pm, with multiple breaks in between. The conference format is a panel/q&a and workshop featuring multiple female identifying guest speakers that are willing to share and educate others about their journey in engineering. These include engineering students from McMaster University, as well as four professional Engineers from various different backgrounds. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask direct questions about anything related to engineering, and university applications. They will also have the opportunity to design their own objects during the fun Computer Assisted Design challenge workshop! If you are female or non-binary in grades 9-12, and are interested in Engineering as a post secondary route or just out of curiosity, join the event on Saturday March 19th for an opportunity to learn, meet new people, and have fun! To register go to GROW STEM's Instagram page @growstem and fill out the registration form in the linktree. Hope to see you there :)
