Engineers Canada has taken on a leadership role in introducing and expanding the Future City program in Canada. We manage the Canadian program with DiscoverE, Future City’s American parent organization.  In addition to Engineer’s Canada’s financial and in-kind contributions, we secure funding for the program through corporate, private, and government funding. Engineers Canada identifies and selects eligible organizations to participate in the program, in addition to assisting in the execution of the program deliverables.

We connect participating organizations with members of the engineering community. This includes finding mentors, judges, and other volunteers to engage with the program and provide the most valuable pedagogical experience to the students who participate in Future City.
